Pretty sweet how the "city siege" is an instanced pvp fuckfest...this game was nothing more than one disappointment after another...you go from daoc(which yes the pve was god awful and consisted of grinding for weeks) style rvr to this?? jesus christ there is a reason this game has 6 servers left and is dying. No one other than blizzard can kill WoW, the rest will all fail like mythic.

this is an exclusive scenario available when the city is under siege, the city itself turns into an invaded disaster area which is the ORVR

that is worthless, what good is this "exclusive scenario" when you want people to join the ORVR part? i mean that is mythic's big thing Open Realm vs Realm...

Winning ORvR is only part of city sieges. You had to win PQ's, SC's and what not to gain access to City ORvR, as well as the "loot farm" dungeons.

Thats how it was when this was made. I do not know if it is still the same.

I know how the unlocking of cities worked. I could never get to the siege because the server would simply not allow it when I played. Every time someone laid siege to the fort the zone and our server crashed. I am just saying they went from daoc which was all about open world realm vs realm, to this instanced crap. This game had no incentive for defending any keep other than when the enemy was real close to locking down the zones. It was objective swapping and nothing more.

Defending keeps netted you a shot at certain Tier PVP items. It was also the best source of RR exp in game if you were lucky enough to defend keeps in small groups.

There was a time I would get full levels of RR every few minutes just for solo defending keeps on my Squig Herder due to the low pop server I was on, just by simply wiping the keep raids by taking out healers, or punting tanks.
