Its the Juice you use, not the bucket contents, there no nutrients left after fermenting, but you have to let it 'ferment' untill it can't no more, then its at it's highest microbial activity. (be sure to dilute when applying the 'juice'. either hydroponically, or Soil.

@billjackjane I'll let you know how long once I fill my brand new bucket!

@maxfacta1 No, It smells like a brew or compost tea. Don't worry, you won't get gallons of it at this level.

Does the Bokashi juice smell bad?

Hi how long does a bok mix take to compost in frosty, clay (read anaerobic) soils?
claire88ity 10 months ago
@claire88ity The Bokashi Waste is prepared anerobically in the buckets demonstrated, pickled, ready for natural breakdown in the soil, where we assume will be oxygen present. But from reading your question, sounds like you have some pretty cold solid soil there, allow 2.5months - 5 months for the conditioning of the applied soil area. It's an unqualified guess based on what I know and think.

I mean can the bokashi be mixed with a red worm compost after it has fermented?
tmkcurtis 11 months ago
@tmkcurtis What they say is do not feed your worms solely the Bokashi Waste, but rather occasionally or every other addition. Furthermore, the worms now like (or train themselves to like) the normally unfavoured items like onions and citrus. The worms take longer to eat these items, but they healthily get through these items all the same. Take some feedback from the wormfarm forums to get their input.

Instead of burying the bokashi, can we feed mix it in a red worm compost?
tmkcurtis 11 months ago
@tmkcurtis Over the years I've received occasional feedback on this question. I haven't ever had anyone say no or anything negative (and there are diehards out there that will argue it in an instant if it was non-productive). What we do know is that wormfarmers have fed their wormery the Bokashi bucket contents and with some success.
