underpass in 1980 sounded like it was coming from outerspace, there were very few left field electronic pop bands or artists back then but this guy was 1 of them.and his lyrics read more like an abstract painting on lsd somehow making sense enough create some great images to go along with his often breathtakingly beautifull music.this guy deserves more credit than he gets for both ultravox era and later work.5stars

Nice interview. John is an interesting musician. I can understand when says he prefers to be alone.

By the way, the sudden rush of sound of a car passing through at a distance when the first question was asked about his early days turned out to be the highlight of this whole interview. That was kind of symbolic. ;)

To be fair to the interviewer she wasn't born when Ultravox or John Foxx were around. He doesn't seem to mind that she hasn't got much of an idea of his back catalogue.

My god this man is incredibly nice, sweet... so remote, also, immerged in creativity...I you want a reason to be living, this is a good example of illumination. a fulfilling life. Shame he's not recognized the way he SHOULD be!!
