It took 30 years, the death of her father and the end of apartheid for Sandra Laing - a black child born to white parents - to find her mother. This is her story.

  • No offense to Sandra Laing but I'm just not buying this story about her parents being white. Although she was born to white parents DNA or a blood test (at the time) could have proven her identity. Does anyone know if she ever tested her DNA against her father's DNA before he died? I'm very skeptical about the truth of this story but am willing to be proven wrong.

  • i saw the movie make me cry .. so sad..

  • I saw the movie for the first time and it interested me to the point of wanting to know which country in African my ancestors are from. I would also like to know which tribe

  • @V0caloidange1 I associate myself as African also, although I was born in American!

  • @topherh33 your comment is unwanted... Everyone has their story and this my dear is not yours

  • These claims are absolutely false, This is genetically impossible Please watch, Genetics - 8 - Incomplete Dominance - Sci 10 May30, on youtube.

  • this brings tears to my eyes :"(, I wish all the best to you Sunny :)

  • The children at the school were so beautiful, open, and loving. "Now, we will carry the world."

  • I think that what we are missing is the fact that Black and White are not races, but colors. Caucasoid, Negroid, Mongoloid are the only valid ethnic classifications. What we call a Black person is actually an ethnic African regardless of where they were born. I was born in Jamaica and am a US citizen but my ethnic identity is African, genetically. There is neither a Jamaican nor American gene.

  • She has her mothers nose kinda and her fathers eyes
