Be Our Guests - Athens Habitat Restore [TV Spot]

The Athens Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore was looking to air another TV commercial promoting the Habitat ReStore, a thrift store which takes in new and used home furnishings and sells them at a up to 90% off retail cost. The ReStore offers the community an active venue for reusing/recycling building materials and home furnishings that would otherwise be thrown away. All funds raised support Athens Area Habitat for Humanity in its continuing effort to eliminate poverty housing in Clarke, Oconee, and Oglethorpe counties. In addition to free pickups, all donations to the ReStore are tax deductible.

After visiting the ReStore, we took Disney's "Be Our Guest" from Beauty & The Beast and adapted the lyrics to fit the ReStore, and then got together and sung the lyrics for the 30 second commercial. A stop motion animation from illustrations of main ideas in the song and products at ReStore was shot over a period of 6 hours one night, and then animated and edited to form the final submission.

The entry won 2nd place in the contest, and will be used by the Habitat ReStore for local tv in Athens GA to promote the store.
