did u do anything before giving birth to prepare your breasts. i heard u can rub your breasts with a washcloth and water and kind of roughin them up a little? u just seem at ease with it...so i thought i would ask :) thanks

@SweetSadie149 No...The nurse told me to make my nipple hard to get baby to latch but that was it (which she suggested just rubbing it a little). Which btw was just awkward in a room full of people......when my son was born I didn't have to do this (although we had a home birth w/ him w/ a midwife), he latched on just fine.

I might have appeared to be "at ease" but I was just OUT OF IT!!!! I hadn't slept in over 3 days LITERALLY, ZERO SLEEP.

You know! No one believes me when I say that from the moment they're born, babies should breastfeed like crazy! I remember being in the hospital with my daughter and basically nursing her every 30 min-1hr. It helped my milk come in and it made for an excellent nursing baby!

@LadyTerj121 That's very true! My son (who is currently 15 months) is still nursing & we're planning baby #3. I dread the sleepless nights but I do look forward to being able to please a baby w/ something as simple as nursing! lol

Lovely video. :) Anyone who can give birth, provide nourishment constantly and then go on to raise a kid has to be brave. I'll have to thank my mum on Mothers' Day tomorrow... xD
