Check this out: What Monsanto Doesn't Want You To Know-The Genetic Food Conspiracy: http://mysticalmusingsandpolitics.blogspot.com/2010/11/what-monsanto-doesnt-w...

A great documentary exposing the evil agricultural nightmare called Monsanto and the story of Roundup and Roundup Ready Soybeans. A 2004 documentary film which makes an in-depth investigation into unlabeled, patented, genetically engineered foods that have quietly made their way onto grocery stores in the United States for the past decade. It voices the opinions of farmers in disagreement with the food industry and details the impacts on their lives and livelihoods from this new technology, and shines a light on the market and political forces that are changing what we eat. The film decries the cost of a globalized food industry on human lives around the world, and highlights how international companies are gradually driving farmers off the land in many countries. Potential global dependence of the human race on a limited number of global food corporations is discussed, as is the increased risk of ecological disasters -- such as the Irish Potato Famine (1845--1849) -- resulting from the reduction of biological diversity due to the promotion of corporate sponsored monoculture farming. The issue of incorporating a terminator gene into plant seeds is questioned, with concern being expressed about the potential for a widespread catastrophe affecting the food supply, should such a gene contaminate other plants in the wild. Legal stories reported by the film related how a number of farmers in North America have been sued by Monsanto; and the defendant of the Monsanto Canada Inc. v. Schmeiser case is interviewed.

  • I see a lot of ppl arguing about overpopulation. WTF does overpopulation have to do with the fact that these assholes are poisoning our food??? You guys are arguing about overpopulation - as if it's OK to poison food! ONE company is on its way to owning ALL seed & by extension, farmland in the world! Don't get caught up in arguing between yourselves! That's what these "elite" count on. They do NOT include you or me in their group!

  • @rocha344

I think the connection is made because Monsanto says it does these things in the name of feeding an overpopulated world. However we all know they really just care about money, not the health of the people.

  • @airamid19 This may also be the way in which they use to kill large populations a sort of eco terrorism.

  • @RatDog67 If you want monsanto's side of the story, check out their blog/forums. Whenever they come under fire (which is all the time from people like you and me), they always give outrageously horrible cookie-cutter answers to get themselves out of trouble. They're snaky bastards, in the biblical sense of what the snake symbolizes.

  • @hectorhazard

Think about this from an emperical standpoint.

Typing into google isn't serious research. i can type "9/11" into google and get all kinds of crap from crazy people with no evidence.

There's a reason university professors are leery of students using any old website as a source. Critical thinking dictates "some lady typing into google" = uncertain facts

The facts are mostly on the side of the documentary, that's why im confused why that approach. it does not lend credibility.

  • @GoblinsnHobbits i think it demonstrates that this information/knowledge is easily accessable to anyone wishing to investigate the many evils of this corporation. Not a gimmick at all and actually very convincing

  • This is undoubtably food genocide in all ways possible

  • I really don't get why they made the format of this documentary some lady typing into google.

Good documentary otherwise, but the gimmick is kind of... not convincing :P

  • Support your local farmers and boycott Walmart foods and HEB when they lie about labeling and provide fluoridated "Nursery Water". Raw milk is healthier than pasteurized because pasteurized dairies are exempt from most safety conditions whereas raw milk producers maintain immaculate facilities.

  • Monsanto scientists won't even eat their own creations. All the cafes that cater to Monsatan's scientist are NON-GMO!!!!!!

  • um...Sugar Diabetes comes from eating too much sugar and Hepatitus is a virus...Polychlorinated Biphenols (PCB's) dont cause these...

  • 2012. Price Chopper grocery store on Main st. bordering Scranton/Taylor Pa. While shopping yesterday I asked both a butcher and a produce manager about Monsanto and Genetically altered foods. Neither ever heard the name Monsanto and the produce manager explained that when such companies begin planting and selling such foods he would think they needed labeling. When I told him he was eating such foods for well over a decade he did not believe me. The butcher thought no growth hormones were used.
