Respond to this video... sounds like a Mark I skytrain

@newflyer3000 probably back then the power supply wasn't well enough to keep the lights from flickering while traveling at high speeds

I remember riding in those trolley buses in Calgary til 1975 when they took them out of service. They had lots of power going up steep hills that the diesels never had.

I remember riding these as a kid but I don't remember the lights being such a brilliant white. They were more of a pale yellow, like an under powered light bulb. Probably the light source of the day. But I what I remembered the most about these buses was the constant flickering of the lights. This bus is very tame in comparison to the daily drivers of the 70's that I rode. Good memories. Thanks.

cardinal rule : don't power through the special work !

that is too cool!!! That is a nice Bus!

Very cool! Vintage pollution free transit!
-
The acceleration rate is over 5.0km/h per second, I believe.
-
Is my buss pass still good for these ones ?

I remember these buses in Calgary in the 60's and 70's when a ride cost ten cents! Big Oil won out, so we went diesel!
I think now more than ever we should go back!
What's the brand and model of the camera? Everyone should buy it and make sure they stay in business for years to come.

wow the rarest bus i've ever seen! i thought they were removed from the bus list. I saw some of those when the new trolleys are under repairing i think. Are those on 17?

This bus is not part of the revenue service fleet, it was retired in the 80s when the Flyer trolleybuses were purchased (which are also retired by now) This is a restored vintage Brill, the Transit Museum Society of Vancouver brought it out for a spin on the night this video was recorded!
