Recorded on July 25, 2008 using a Flip Video camcorder. A team of powerful huskies pulls us through the scenic back country of a historic gold rush site.
We met the dogs and climbed onto a wheeled sled-custom-made for running during the snow-free summer months. The area is located in Southeast Alaska's beautiful temperate rainforest. The trees you see are spruce and hemlock.
These huskies are veterans of the Iditarod race. Strength and endurance define dog sledding in the wild, rugged North.
