IMO this is the best country song there has ever been. Period. And Tom Brumley's pedal steel ride is classic to this day...RIP Buck and 'roos......You were a high water mark!

@scottbechler - I'd be happy to let you quote me. And yes Brumley was a master for sure. I hope the first thing I hear when I cross into the great beyond is Brumley playing that steel.

Bill Mack once asked Buck during a live interview on WBAP out of Dallas, why his newer music had no steel guitar like in the past. Buck told Bill that once you'd worked with Tom Brumley, you'd worked with the best, and no one else could top that.

@carnut476 Im a Yankee and I still enjoy classic country. I used to listen to it with my grandpa in the car ( a native North Carolinian) I can see where you're coming from tho. Music is horrible today
