There was one part in the level where there is a coaster and I was stumped on that for years until one day I was 11 or 12 when I found out I was supposed to dash into the coaster to start rolling,when I found that out I raged like crazy

Well People refer it as a glitch because sometimes the egg just falls even when it's perfectly placed on the rail. As for that Technique though, I used that move at times, but I didn't use it so often for Ground Rails because of how it can be sometimes hard to get the characters to stop completely, especially if you were going at a high speed.

Actually, (and I'm guessing most people already know this), your supposed to JUMP ON the rails WITH the egg, It makes the stage a WHOLE lot more bearable...

The technique was to stomp-jump onto it. otherwise the egg just falls. I died a lot of times before using this technique. It's a glitch?
