This is footage of the freak lake effect snow storm that ripped through the Buffalo, NY area on October 12th 2006. It is a compilation of short clips showing some of the damage that was caused by the storm, as well as some pictures from during and after the storm.
At 1:16 it may be unclear what happens- as I was filming about an ambulance down the street, I was smashed in the head by a pretty big falling branch, and the camera was knocked out of my hands.

Yes, that was quite a storm. I live in Cheektowaga and we did not have power for 4 days. Our family learned a valuable lesson, make sure you have a generator. We do now! Good vid!

Bcuz ur family actually get together!
& Also u get to se the adventures in life!
So i learned allot about Patience!
This is the best time in my life!
my electricity & water went out... My water bcuz it froze & my electricity bcuz cables got knocked down! Oh yeah no heat either!

yeah i live in the Town of Tonawanda near Kenmore West High School and it was real bad. But the storm has taught us a valuable lesson.

that was a crazy storm, i live in south buffalo caz park area. man i tell ya. one of the old timers across the street even said he'd never seen a storm like that. crazy, and they're still doing tree removal

I recently moved away from buffalo and missed that storm. I heard from family how bad it was but this was my first chance to see pics of the damage-- good job with the video! I enjoyed it.
