Kodak Zi8 Firmware Update

This is a test of the Kodak Zi8 from Firmware 1.01 to 1.03. It should remove the highpitched sound when using the internal mic...and IT DOES!!

Note: I recorded in 1080p, used Windows Live Movie Maker to merge the two files, and publish it directly to YouTube. It didnt make it HD, so the importance of this it the audio.

If you cant hear the audio....turn the volume up...

How did you get WLMM to play the file?  I get audio but no video.

The only driver pack I have instaled is CCCP. Try that.

Phew, that's good. I wanted to see video proof of the fix.

The firmware also fixed the darkening issue with the zoom, right? I've heard that was fixed, too. I just want to make sure. It happened in all modes except 1080p.

If all is well, I know what cam I'm getting... =D

The Kodak website said the new firmware only fixed the audio issue.

The firmware 1.5 does indeed fix the zoom issue as well. See for yourself on the website under 1.5

glad to see a fix i will have to ask kodak, if you can upgrade and wonder ifyou can go back to old. as this must be addressed.

It did fix the darkening issue as well. I had the high pitched problem and the darkening when zooming issue. After the firmware update both were fixed.
