@13madbob So do I, in late 1956 & '57 you could do that, my dad bought one brand new special ordered through the Chevy dealership. It was the Bel Air 4-dr Hardtop, he never bought new cars direcly off the showroom floor because he said it was cheaper to order from General Motors.

I'm a proud owner of the 57 chevy Belair hardtop. This was the flagship car of the 1950's . Lot's of style and chrome, the ultimate Cruiser!!!
