@celloprof since i posted this comment i actually went and got a 57 f100 im about half way with the restoration on it and it is turning out very nice, best part? i got it out of a field, just like most of these old vehicles are in. Im turning it around for an older man who says it was his dads, free of charge just because i knew there wouldnt be any one else out there who would save it from the fate it was given.

crappy then and more crap now, take it to recycle, these things were very unreliable pieces of shit way back even when they were new! Been there, worked on them, hated them, wished for better engenieering then.
