It's all kinda new to me actually, as I borrowed my friend's laptop which had PremierePro CS3 since I dont' have any HD editing software yet =(
As you know, XH-A1 shoots 1440x1080.
In PP CS3, I exported via Media Encoder. IIRC, enabled crop and cropped to 1440x816, enabled scale to fit option, and selected square pixel aspect ratio.

How did you crop native 1440x816 XH-A1 footage to 1920x816?

any color correction used? what preset did you used oc canon xa a1? it looks very sharp .

There was no color correction. The only thing done in post was slow-motion in After Effects.
If I recall correctly, I used the custom VIVIDRGB preset when shooting.
The blurry background (from zooming-in at widest aperture) help give that "sharp" perception.

Yes always! There are only 2 things that we really need to do in Hong Kong --- eat and shop.

did you use a special tool for the slow motion? thanks.

I took my original 60i footage into Adobe After Effects CS3 and used it's time stretch option for use on a 24p timeline.
