This video was played on easy mode. You have to finish it in "Arcade Mode" to get the full ending of the Viper escaping from the exploding planet and at the last second the screen freezes to show your ship. In addition after the credits it says in good ol Engrish:

wow i remember this game being hard as shit with the bubbles and all of that, but that final boss looked real damn easy lol

The SNES version omitted some levels and the music quality isn't as good, but the final stage music (Unpleasant Cell) makes up for it completely
