Right To Love "An American Family" Preview

When the majority is allowed to vote on minorities' civil rights, Americans must step back from the voting booths and take a real look inside the lives of those they're affecting. Jay is a police officer and Gulf War veteran. His husband, Bryan, is a stay-at-home dad to their two adopted kids, Daniel and Selena. Their marriage was one of the 18,000 upheld when Prop 8 passed in California. People may not agree with homosexuality, but does that give Americans the right to deny equality for all citizens?

I am blown away. I have been looking forward to something like this, and i really do think it's part of what needs to be done to promote equality and acceptance. Mind you, I was this close to bursting out in tears, because this was so fabulously beautiful.

My one concern is that i will not be able to see the whole thing, because unfortunately I happen to live in Sweden. I just really hope you find a way to make it available for other countries too.

What I love is the fact that you made this video. Movies like this are the most powerful tools against demonizing gays.

I hate the fact that you had to make it. Gays should be treated as normal people. We all have what I call an old survival instinct.. We all are a little afraid of the "other". The religious right explores this feeling and projects it on gays. It is blacklisting.

Some str8 people think only of the sex and find it as repulsive as I find hetro sex.

I will say that there are things I dont like about gay sex. When you replace the word sex with "love" then that is a word we all can agree on.
