@buster231000 U-boat is English, U-Boot is German :) Somehow German and English are surprisingly similar e.g. Lamp is English while in German it is Lampe.

@Beskidekk Oh yes, and don't forget that, while a ' boat' is neuter like things ( das Boot), the ' table' is a male (der Tisch) and the ' lamp ' is a woman ( die Lampe). Now, there is no excuse for anybody to refuse learning English saying it is too difficult :)

@ppplll000999 English evolved from German, Vater=Father; Mutter=Mather, und so weiter and so on, but einundzwanzig= one and twenty, at some point numerals are read/pronounce in reverse order. German has the Very important Declination.

I am a former submariner, and it may interest you to know that to double the speed it will require 4 times the power. So for example if you are plugging along at half speed, and you go to full power doubling your speed, it will require four times the energy, killing the battery four times faster.

@1anthonybrowning is this ' formula' roughly true for any shape- type of submarine, from vintage ww2 non-streamlined to modern Russian subs & U.S. subs, assuming the power is available to be unlitmited ?
