Communications Design
Monday, June 8
Students are encouraged to challenge conventional methods and media used for advertising and communication.
In this minor project students will find new ways of communicating messages through personal intervention. The designer becomes the medium. Artists and designers intersect here. Students are encouraged to choose an artwork at the AGO to base their design upon. The design is intended for a cologne company such as Givenchy or Calvin Kline.
Students will use their design methodology, including analysis and lateral thinking.
Ideas regarding Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and design as an ethical practise will be discussed.
Students must develop ideation drawings and final design concepts with the teacher before presenting them on Wednesday.
