One of Tri-Rail's Colorado Railcar DMUs. At that time, it was temporarily replacing one of the Bombardier cars that was in the car shop at CSX's Hialeah Yard.

Have you ever seen a Silver Meteor/Star with 6 coaches?

I have a few times, but none that I can remember off the top of my head.

Though I didn't mention this, this is the first time in person that I have ever seen the Silver Star and Silver Meteor with 3 Viewliners in the same day.

amtrak here is so much different then what we have up north! for once this is all diesel while we have a mix with electric and the "high speed" rail!.... greetings from NYC!

I saw that. Reminded me of a similar northbound consist I once saw with 810 in the mix. 5 cars only, if I recall correctly.

The 6-car consist I saw was unbroken - 811 leading 6 Bombadiers, in service.

If you include the locomotives, the longest Tri-Rail train I have seen had 6 Bombardiers and 3 locomotives (2 GP49s and 1 F40PH). It's in one of my recent videos and that night, Tri-Rail P649 was doubleheading at the same time that they were deadheading a train to Hialeah Yard.
