  • Please don't leave comments like this on my videos. You clearly are trying to glorify something you were part of by slandering the accomplishments of someone else. There vocal arrangement has nothing to do with the talent, capability, emotional intent, work ethic, or respectability of these kids. This is distasteful and uncalled for and frankly, you should be embarrassed.

  • This video does not do their vocals or their entire show justice. I was there for this and this performance was absolutely STUNNING. The big chords in this song filled the auditorium. This wasn't my favorite Ankeny show, but it was the best they've had so far. REALLY good job!

  • jay go to bed! it is way too late to be watching show choir videos!

  • this jjw00004 guy should probably just not even watch us if he doesn't say anything nice. i mean constructive criticism is one thing, but just plain putting this group down to make yourself feel better is another. seriously, get a life & let us love and be proud of our show choir. i'm pretty sure we wouldn't win grand championships and be ranked 2nd in the nation if we weren't good..

  • Jersey Boys? Jekyll and Hyde? Sure they do other stuff like Celine, but they still do musical theatre.

And trust me, they are not the farthest thing from musical theatre. John Burroughs and North Central are probably the farthest show choir from musical theatre.

  • When did Lester Miller take over Visual Adrenaline?

  • yeah u should have seen him in the high school production of guys and dolls...incredible

  • fantastic!!!!

  • "got a lot of games" guy is an awesome singer!!! he has a future in broadway.

  • a little bad i can hadly hear them

  • or spend time cleaning choreography.. his main focus was beautiful vocals and entertaining an audience. He was a great director, but very different from Mr. Dean, who decided to focus more on the competitive aspect of show choir and did spend the money on hiring April James and did spend a lot of time cleaning... that's the difference between old Ankeny and Ankeny now. :)

  • No, VA has always been an auditioned group. There have always been sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the group. For the most part though, if you were a senior and had been going through each of the choirs in the program, you would be in VA.. a little less cut throat than it has become. While Mr. C was at Ankeny, VA consistently won Best Vocals at most competiitons they went to.. but would receive lower placements because C didn't see the need to hire a professional choreographer

  • ah i remeber my show choir days! those were the glory days!

  • My u/s that Mr C just let the Seniors be in VA- Mr Dean made it where you would try out to get placed. So I think Mr. Dean is the one that took this Choir to the top. Plus look at the number of people that was selected to All State Last year. I think around 18 or more. Thanks to Mr. Dean for taking VA to the TOP.... Way to go VA
