Interview with Christian Bale of "The Dark Knight"

Well funny you should say that cause in the comics Batman/Bruce Wayne is pretty much the same as Patrick Bateman. That's why Bale was chosen for the role.

Batman is a psycho.

It shocks me that he is British, when in his movies he has such a fine American accent. I also feel that way about Hugh Laurie, just fine voices to listen to.

He`s a great actor, but Christian seems not to be himself here.
The choice of talking "American" in this and other interviews DOES matter. Because unless an interviewee is being himself (which he clearly isn`t here) you cannot expect candid responses.
It`s a bizarre choice of his.
I`d love to see him on The Actor`s Studio....has he done that?




Next up for him is a Depression-era gangster movie with Johnny Depp...perhaps that explains it....getting into character etc.

Its the same in US. Assault doesn't neccessarily mean there was physical violence. Assault is the "threat of force". Battery is when things get physical

Batman and Joker are such amazing characters and they do a perfect job of showing the two do battle in the film.
