DUBLIN, IRELAND - Celebrating the ancient Pagan festival of Halloween, Waterstone's brought together Irish author and journalist, Sean Hillen, who wrote DIGGING FOR DRACULA after spending 20 years in eastern Europe, with the Deputy Lord Mayor of Dublin, Kevin Humphreys.
Interestingly, the home of Bram, Stoker, author of the classic Gothic tale, Dracula, 1897 is just 300 yards from both City Hall and Waterstone's bookstore so the location for the evening event could not have been more appropriate.
DIGGING FOR DRACULA, which has its own website www.diggingfordracula.com, focuses on Seans bizarre and colorful adventures as he travels across the globe seeking the origins of the vampire legends. His experiences included dangerous mishaps with voodoo worshippers in New Orleans; an eye-opening visit to the worlds largest garlic festival; a night spent in the medieval ruins of Vlad the Impalers castle - the man who many say Stoker modeled his vampire on - in the wilderness of central Transylvania; and a meeting with the Agony Aunt of vampire lovers.
DIGGING FOR DRACULA - www.diggingfordracula.com - a uniquely-designed 'book-in-a-coffin' printed in a limited edition of 1,000 to commemorate the centennial of the first-ever publication of the classic Gothic tale, Dracula, by Dublin-born writer, Bram Stoker.
