CHEN:
As the widespread devastation of the earthquake in China is being slowly revealed to the world by China's state media, some residents in Sichuan Province still feel they are not being informed of the true extent of the disaster and the rescue effort. Here's more from our reporter in Sichuan.

STORY:
Chinese residents inside China eager to know the situation in Sichuan said news given out by the state media is inadequate.

[Mrs. Li]:
"We really want to see more about the real situation of the earthquake in Sichuan, and how the rescues are progressing, and the survival situation there. [We want to see] except for the 2 biggest cities, how are the hundreds other small cities look like, we have some relatives and friends there, but we are not able to find out anything."

Mrs Li believes that the death toll is way higher than the official figure published by the Chinese authorities.

[Mrs. Li]:
"The government said there were seven thousand people dead in Beichuan city, how could that be. More than 80% of the houses collapsed. If you check the population survey, at least 100,000 people lived in Beichuan city. If more than 80% of city has been destroyed, it is impossible that only 7000 people were killed. I believe more than 50,000 people may have died there."

According to many Sichuan residents, except for Chengdu and Dujiangyan, the two largest cities of Sichuan province, virtually no rescue team has been sent to the surrounding cities. The residents are calling for international help.

When we were searching the Internet for more details on the earthquake, we came across a message posted by a soldier on the Chinese Zhenzheng website. He said his pregnant wife has been trapped in a house in Jiangyo city without food or water while still waiting to be rescued. He has been desperate for news about Jiangyo city because nothing has been reported on the state TV.

  • Christfuckers: If I am not wrong, this "news cast" belongs to group of millions of "Han" Chinese people, who are organized along some very "human" spiritual values of compassion, forbearance and peace as a way of going back to chinese civilizational roots. Was also a way of expressing chinese pride, Refused to follow that foreign cult called communism and how did the fucking CCP responds? Mas arrest, imprisonment and harvest of their organs! Who really is the problem man? You, CCP or them?

  • this is so untrue, the chinese government sent in 100,000 military men in. I know this because my cousin was call in to help. the code for it was one soldier save one men. People you need to understand it's a hard job, it takes a group of men 20-40 hour to dig one survivor out. P.S. it has been on to reach to some place sue to terrible road conditions. Bridges have collapse. The number of death is hard to say because some of the number are base on death bodies found only, other include missing.

  • God is true, and every man a liar.

    He will be here soon.

  • Fuck off man. This news cast is the problem, not me. It criticizes the hard working rescuers unjustifiably when they're doing the best they can to save everyone while trying to come up with answers for family with lost loves one. I don't see how any sense-able person would want to side with NDTV, which from day one has hated the Chinese regardless of whether or not it has any factual news to report.

  • Christpunchers: Good to know that you guys are not robot, even though you did behave like robots in the last couple of months around the torch rally protests! Its smells like guilty person saying he is not guilty even though one one said so!

  • Fuck off buddy. Where is there any rule that says a Chinese person must act to an ideal otherwise he is spoiling his people's image? I can say and express my thoughts as freely as I want. Nothing wrong with rebelling against your lies and bullshit. We're not robots you know.

  • You are exposing your true color here for every one to see. Your Big fucking mouth will not help China and China image, let alone helping the China quake victims!

  • christpunchers; if someone is using the disaster issue that it's obvioulsy you because, as a pro-ccp, don't allow any critics at all, even not from the own people.

This women has a good point.

Ofcourse, no critics are allowed since CCP desperately tries to clean their reputation. And what about the houses run over by machines to move the debris while maybe some people were laying under it? Can't afford building better buildings? CCP is rich enough to have helped them.

  • 911allo; nothing personal but looking at your channel and vids 'senile' is at the moment best suited for your ideas and comments.

  • And you obviously don't give a shit since you can't even tell that this piece of news just another NDTV "report" to rouse up more negativity towards the Chinese and their government in general. How can you say with a straight face that this report is even a revilent piece of news?
