Marianne Faithfull - As Tears Go By (Live in Copenhagen, June 25th, 2010)

Marianne Faithfull performs the classic "As Tears Go By" that the Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger and Keith Richards along with manager Andrew Loog Oldham wrote for Faithfull in 1964 and later recorded under their own name on the 1965 album "December's Children (And Everybody's)". Doug Pettibone plays the guitar here. Recorded live @ Amager Bio in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 25th, 2010.

What a difference. It was a beautiful song in 1965, but that was all, although it's still unforgettable. Watching her sing it now, there's so much more meaning and understanding of the lyrics. That was so touching to see. Thank you for posting

Before you people make these comments you should really read up on this poor woman that she has a voice left after all that has happened to her, is a MIRACLE. She lost her voice here in Australia during the 60's whilst filming with Jagger on the movie set of 'NED KELLY' She almost died from an overdose of bloody Heroine. She has reformed since. It took great courage never to have given up on the thing she loved best. Music.

Too bad really. Long term use of drugs and burning the candle at both ends,so to speak, over time is going to fuck you up. This should be a good lesson for younger entertainers. So sad really, she use to have a beautiful voice and now she really has no business being on stage performing.
