1966 Aluminum 911 Engine. Revs like a sport bike and runs like no other Porsche engine. Unfortunately this car is no longer in the Stable.

  • Good job EarlyPorsche1! Simply beautiful. The aircooled sixes are my favorite family of production Porsche engines.

@1bmxdude: FWIW, you can expect to spend north of $20K to rebuild a later model 911 aircooled six correctly (this is in addition to the cost of the core engine), and the early ones are even pricier. If you're serious about installing a Porsche six in your Beetle, I hope you know how to cut metal and weld, or have deep pockets. :)

  • @EarlyPorsche1 YES but i am looking for a nice engine for my beetle so what is the price for an nice engine like this

  • very nice engine
