You Dave fans...so bitter it's just sad! Sammy doesn't claim to be the greatest lyricist. Also, this album is NOT just average! You will see! Champane97...you should probably change your name to "Stuck in 1984". Van Halen with Dave again is a joke...a SHELL of what it was. Your perception of Eddie Van Halen is WAY OFF! After Ed Leffler died Eddie became more controlling and harder to work with. Funny...the coolest & most outgoing members of Van Halen are not in the band anymore. CHICKENFOOT !

Well the album went gold which doesn't happen that often anymore. The tour sold out. And it sounds like the new album is in the can until Chad is available. I think Sammy found his best band and that he and Joe make a good song writing pair. I think Joe's sophisticated style makes it something special.

All four of these guys are great together and VH are nothing without Mikey and it doesn't matter who the frontman. If I was him, I would never go back if they begged. These guys are fun and

Mike has always been underrated and its a shame, it's not just about his bass playing, his backing vocals played a big part for the signature sound of vh. I agree that Ed was the musical spring for VH, but its ALL the original ingredients that gave the band its sound. You miss some ingredients from a recipe, it wont taste the same will it? :) I'll agree to disagree on our opinions of Sammy.

Yes Dave has probably regretted and apologised countless times for his exit out of VH, but you cannot belittle or overshadow his work in VH!! Mike was great and played his part, but anyone that got turn onto VH from the beginning will say its all about EDDIE, not Mike! He had the best couch ride in Rock n Roll, who wouldnt want to play bass with GOD playing guitar to stage-left of ya?!! Van Halen is nothing without KING EDWARD VAN HALEN!!!

Well agree to disagree. But nothing will surpass the original Van Halen. Its in a league of its own!! VH is nothing without the combination of Dave & King Edward!! Much like Lennon/McCartney, Jagger/Richards, Page/Plant, Tyler/Perry etc. When Sam joined Van Halen, the spark, unpredictable hooks & groove was not there! They werent the groundbreaking band that erupted on the scene in 78!!

VH is nothing without Mike Anthony anyway, it's just not the same. I wonder how long it takes before ego's become a problem in VH once again and they split. I'm all for VH reuniting and maybe doing another album, but if they are going to do it, do it properly, get mike back. Ed's bitterness towards Mike and Sammy makes it impossible for either of them to return. Sammy and Mike are having too much fun with Chickenfoot, more power to them! Chiickenfoot is a breath of fresh air!
