The guy that shows him how to prepare the sheep is one of the hosts of Tales From The Green Valley (the forerunner of Victorian Farm).

@MrChimpsDubstep Using every part of the animal is worth it but as for the question can we get away with less? Sure just not in civilized countries.
-
@TheIcelandicPatriot Due to lots of regulations within TV they wouldn't have killed an animal for no reason they would been sued or ever worse prosecuted. I am pretty sure the sheep carcass would have been used for food its wool for clothes and even the so called violin strings, made from intestines, used. Yes, if they had killed the sheep just to show the process that would have been wrong but like I said I doubt you could get away with that in our day and age.

@MrChimpsDubstep Killing an animal for eating is nesesary for oss to live but you just don't kill an animal just to make the show better.
-
@TheIcelandicPatriot oh no never, it's not like we've been killing sheep for hundreds of years or anything....
-
O MY GOD THATS NASTY AS HELL!!
-
@MsStormcrow They've been used to make strings since prehistory, so it was kind of a natural choice even just a few centuries ago.
