Song: Battersea by Hooverphonic

Just felt like using EVO clips and didn't want to bore everyone with another AC video. I'll do that later after I get Adobe Premiere again and learn to use it.

And yes, this song sounds like cyberbird, in fact this song came many years before cyberbird (some tastefull borrowing of sounds if you ask me :P)

  • Great job. Love this song and the video compliments it well.

  • @mutedisease thanks mate, i enjoyed making this video a lot. Fun trying to sync up explosions and the feelings of space :P

  • I don't think Cyberbird and this sound the same at all.

The voice kind of does, but try listening to the damn beat. Completely different.

  • The tempo was slowed down, the beat still sorta the same, and the voice are pretty close.

She would have changed the song up a lot to avoid being sued. For one I don't mind since any artist is usually some how inspired by another artist. Im also an artist and i'll take 1-2 things from someone and make it my own. Yoko Kanno did that very well.

  • Wow, this video is great, and the song is so soothing. Cyberbird is a great song as well.

    I love 1:14-1:24

  • thanks, i always like thinking of space as soothing, even if its dangerous :P

  • Or as the disclaimer goes,

All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

  • I don't think Yoko Kanno would intentionally rip off another artwork. She's one of the most creative composers I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, I don't think she would risk destroying her image by intentionally plagiarizing. I think she has enough self-respect to be above that.

Alot of accidental musical collisions have occurred over the years, and I think this is one of those percieved similarity cases. I personally don't think this sounds anything like Cyberbird.

  • @LaymanX alot of the music yoko kanno is in english/russian/spanish/japanese/ whatever the hell they speak in iceland and all sorts of others, but all im sayin is the beat is practically identical, and if you sped this up and played the vocals to this song and the vocals to cyberbird (just the vocals) they would be in perfect harmony with eachother, its obvious this song played a big influence on the other

  • @ordaboy

You're giving this song way too much credit. Yoko Kanno doesn't even speak English, where the hell would she ever hear this song? Youtube? Cut me a break.

  • @LaymanX how could you say that? its basically a remake of this song

  • The beat isn't the same at all. It's just the voice.
