Veteran biker gang protects the funeral of a fallen soldier 3/5/11

This is a great display of Christianity and just being a decent human being. The Westboro "church" is a radical group that protests at the funerals of fallen soldiers. A biker gang known as the Patriot Guard is offering protection at these funerals.

Exactly! And that is why I am a member of the Iowa PGR...but I ride in a pickup as I don't own a motorcycle anymore...And the PGR doesn't care what you ride, just that you are there showing reverence to the fallen and the family.

Anyhow, I apologize for making it sound as if "only" Christains need to speak out because we're the only one's moral enough to do so.

What I am saying is that since these folks are claiming to be Christian we need to be especially vociferous in our denunciation of them to highlight their non-inclusion in true Christianity.

Same thing I would say to "moderate" Muslims who should call out their extremists

@BrotherofWord You don't have to be a Christian to speak out against Westboro. Any moral person with any sense of right and wrong, no matter what you believe, can speak out against this bullshit. They're all brainwashed by sociopaths and I feel alot of sympathy for the kids, some of which will eventually get the hell out, like a few have. Maybe one of them will see the light and whip up a batch of that old Jim Jones Kool-Aid and let them all sip down on it.

Awesome, much respect. Westboro is an evil cult and will, one day, answer to karma. The reality is that these folks are brainwashed and/or sociopathic. Some are probably down right evil. But I heard the story where a girl left the church 3 years ago and is now doing alot better. her family disowned her and it broke her heart. She was a devout member who questioned some of the hypocritical things the Church did and was casted out and disowned. Hopefully more free thinkers will see the light.

Christians need to step up and speak out against westboro church and others like them.

We need to do it loudly and often and thus root out these pariahs from the body of Christ.
