These are blackberry shoots cut from in vitro culture from plants from the multiplication phase and rooted directly ex-vitro in floating trays in the greenhouse. It does not involve an in-vitro rooting phase. The bushes are taken out of in vitro culture from the multiplication phase, their bases cut off and the resulting bunches of separate shoots are simply put into cell trays floated in water. This can be done on a large scale in greenhouses having float beds.
I am working at the Fruit Research Station of Cluj in Romania www.scdpcluj.ro

I have set up a method of ex-vitro acclimation in tap water in uncovered trays. some info here:

  • Very nice Alex!
