  • Great work!

Difficult opera and Brewer is just great! Didn't think there was anyone today capable of sing the dyer's wife!

a wonder Waltraud Meier never gave it a go

  • Isn't she just amazing as the Dyer's Wife? She sang it again (with Franz Hawlata) in Paris a few months later. I hope that the other big houses in the US and abroad take note of her work and hire her for their future "Frau" productions!

  • I read somewhere she pulled out of a NewYork ring cycle? Might not be such a bad thing, the longer this voice is around the better even though i'm sure she can handle herself very well

  • She did pull out of the Met Ring Cycle back in April due to a knee injury...but she's recuperated since and is in Santa Fe right now rehearsing "Alceste."

  • Not since Ludvig have I heard a Dyers Wife like this.....Brewer is unbelievable..Will the media keep her away from HD? Opera Companies have become an extension of Weight Watchers.....Brewer is major.

  • Wonderful singing in a thrilling piece. I gather the staging was sensational too.

  • Brewer is fabulous.

Is it that she doesn't want to sing much in operatic productions or she doesn't get hired by big opera houses who prefer slim, sexy Netrebko-like talentless sopranos?
