@livingonsolar Rotating magnetic fields are what produce electricity in a generator. The method used to spin the magnets determines it's efficiency. AC generators produce full power whether your utilizing all the power or not using any of it.

Gravity and water make the wheel spin in hydroelectric plants. As long as gravity and water exist it will keep spinning. Sunlight and water will also keep a wheel spinning. Someone's made up laws are of no concern to me.

@bridgetroll9 What you have stated here is all sound electrical principals and as stated is true. Cause a generator to spin with water and it will appear to be generating electricity. Try putting a load to it and it might stop dead in it's tracks if the flow of water is not sufficient.The laws of physics are not just someone's made up laws, they show up in the actual applications. Your original suggestion is a great idea but without a working prototype, it is just theory with basic flaws.

A cheaper and more effective way to power your entire property is to have solar panels and a generator converted to burn hydrogen. Use the solar panels to get hydrogen from water to get the generator running. Once your generator is operating it can provide the DC current to make hydrogen night and day.

Hydrogen can also be used in BBQ's, motorcycles, cars, heaters, etc etc etc.....

@bridgetroll9 This sounds like a great idea. Do you use this type of system? I would certainly like to see the cost effective comparison. I would be cautious in believing that this is cheaper and more effective if it is only an idea since what you describe is a perpetual motion system. Once you fire up the generator from the hydrogen produced by the solar panels and then the generator makes more hydrogen to power itself does not work due to the laws of physics.

Atoms speed up or slow down. Atoms do not start moving and atoms do not stop moving. An atom is a perpetual motion machine which means the energy scource moving it is infinite and omnipotent.

My point is this, the air does not move itself to create wind. Something that is not made up of air forces it to move. Instead of trying to use the wind as a source of energy, we need to figure out how to tap into the energy source nature uses to create the wind.
