V&R Productions in association with Bliss Products Presents: "The First Telethon for the Benefit of the Boat People". With the success that 1985's "That 'Old Proud' Look" brought them, both in the public eye and the collective unconscious, V&R Films grew to become V&R Productions in early autumn 1986. To celebrate this expansion they banded together with Bliss Products founder Chris Walton to support the cause of the Boat People who had sought political asylum in America. With nothing else but a video camera (Thanks Tom!) a few dollars and a dream, these altruistic men, dare we say *heroes* spent two days and a night shooting what would be their second highest grossing production, all in support of The Boat People. So sit back and enjoy a piece of history: and send in your money; these boat people are *still* in need!
