We saw the Grumbleweeds in the 80's at the Lakeside Country Club, Frimley with the original line-up, never laughed so much in all my life, we were in stiches. There Cher impersonation was as good as the real thing. Still have some of their tv shows on VHS tape.

Back in 1986, I was on the main theatre spotlight when they were at the Royalty Theatre in Great Yarmouth. I was in my late teens then and I have to say, they were such a good laugh on and off the stage. Back then there were 3 in the group. Real gents with legendary parties. There was a real buzz around the theatre when they were there.

The following year, the theatre hosted Michael Barrymore. Not a patch on the Grumbleweeds in terms of humour and certainly not as good company.
