@darnrabbits1 He was 17 when "Amie" was a hit, but you are correct that he didn't sing lead vocals. "Amie" peaked at #27 in April 1975.

@poosiekat Vince Gill didn't sing on Amie He wasn't old enough to be in a band then. he was probably 12 years old when that came out. He launched his career with PPL and also helped them get their only top 40 hit.

I find it ironic how when Vince Gill joined the band, they started to lose their Country edge and treaded the West Coast AOR sounds of Toto, Ambrosia, Player, etc., then they split and he became a Country superstar, guitar legend and HOFer instead of a popstar. Still, cool & great song, nonetheless.
