Ray Carroll speaks against the proposed open pit copper mine by Augusta Resources and Rosemont Copper. The mine is planned in the Coronado National Forest and the Santa Rita mountains of SE Arizona. They want thousands of acres to use for a dump site for an open pit mine.

  • Yea, why aren't there road/directional signs to the meetings, not just the actual locations?

    AND-heck yea...why hold public meetings during summer vacation for schools?

    The Vail School District was on Spring Break for the first three Open Houses and on Summer Break for the last two Hearings.

    The first hearing was in ELGIN!

    Nothing like the Forest ignoring the community that would be the most impacted by the proposal should it be approved.
