NEWSREEL: CBCP Forum on CJ trial, HLI, San Juan Demolition

The regular 'The Forum' of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines tackled the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona vis-a-vis important issues affecting the daily lives of the people. The forum had guests from Hacienda Luisita farmers and demolition victims from Corazon de Jesus, San Juan. The Hacienda Luisita farmers shared that the Supreme Court decision to distribute the land has not been implemented. Also, contrary to the press release of Spokersperon Lacierda, the Cojuangcos (relatives of President Benigno Aquino) are not arranging for the distribution of land, but are now filing for a motion for reconsideration at the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, the demolition victims from San Juan and Fr. Ed Garriguez from NASSA explained that the land has been awarded to the tenants but the Estradas have kept it from being distributed to the people and has resorted to force to expel the people from the land.
