"Thank You" by Ray Boltz in ASL (trans. in desc.)

ASL Translation Below. In this video I'm signing "Thank You" for a contest back in 2004 when I was 10. Some Deaf friends and interpreters helped me with the translation, which I've included below.

P.S. I sign left-handed. Also, I don't own the rights to this song; it belongs to UMPG Publishing or Ray Boltz, however that works... I signed to it for competition and am sharing for educational purposes. No copyright infringement intended.

Studying ASL really helped me learn to recognize facial expressions, as I have Asperger's Syndrome, an autism-spectrum disorder. My mom studied with me and she's the one running the camera and playing the wrong song at times. :)

This particular ASL Interpretation of "Thank You" by Ray Boltz
(I'm sure there are many other interpretations out there...)

I dream go-to heaven
You up-there same
Gold street 2-of-us walk

He smile person-come-to-self
He say/friend

Notes: Remember to turn and point to the correct location of each person
Especially at end -- For "You" look right at someone in audience and point to them

Praise the Lord! This is just beautiful.... And you are so adoreable too. And you don"t have to tell anyone that you sign left handed. That doesn't change a thing. If you watch my videos and pay that close attention then you too will see that I am left handed as well. Most of us just watch the performer, the signing but most important of all is the facial expressions!!! Thanks for posting and keep on working for the Lord. Rocky in Indiana

Well thank you! I'm MUCH better now, practice makes perfect :)

That's cool that you're left handed as well! And you have a point, you pay attention to the signer and not what hand they use :) I'll keep practicing, and I hope to upload more of my older videos, and I hope to make some more now that I'm better :)
