Just me doing some things in my car. A friend of mine bought his first manual, and I wanted to show him some things you could do to teach yourself better clutch control

  • @ aaronbassist: When you push the clutch in, the car essentially freewheels, no matter what gear it is in. This is why I needed the hand brake; to stop it rolling down the hill. Plus, you need to push the clutch in for ány kind of gear change. :)

  • thats not a fucking hill

  • If a car is in gear and it`s stopped and the clutch isn`t in, then the car will stall, so this is why you put it in neutral.

  • This is a perfect size hill for practice. Those of you who say "thats not a fucking hill" probably don't drive a standard. A standard car even on a slight hill will role backwards ever so slightly. Doesn't matter was size hill it is. A steeper hill just means you need to pull the e-break higher to stay put and apply more acceleration to get up and over the hill. Always use the e-break though, otherwise you will burn out the clutch. This way you can let off the clutch and ease off the e-break.

  • damned hillstart.

  • this is so weak and old, you can do it without the handbreak even easier..

  • @hazyazn +1 That's the best and most practical. The handbreak methods are just b***sh*t.

  • @sctrep 5 grand? I see what you did there...

  • @mayorde18 Yes, but don't do that too often as it wear off the clutch. If you learn the engaging point you can start uphill by just de-pressing the clutch fast enough for car just to barely roll a few inches backwards. See here (nevermind language, just watch what he do) youtube.com/watch?v=6cPoix3ZLlY

  • τι καθυστερημενοι ειστε εσεις ρε...ανεβαστε 7000 στροφες και μετα αφηστε τον συμπλεκτη, γιδια, τσομπανοι...θελετε και αυτοκινητα με συμπλεκτη.

  • wtf, thats too complicated. do this..... release the hand brake, and use the brake pedal. Put it on First, then slowly release the clutch until it sounds and vibrates (the car), then slowly release the brake pedal. then accelerate if you want

  • @sctrep i tried that just burned out in my drive way but thats to low man i was doing 6k and i got up the hill with no problemo ;)

  • @sctrep All you would be doing is taching your ride at 5000 RPM's! You forgot one major step......... DUMP THE CLUTCH
