Trying out my new rc-30 loopstation. I made a mess of the solo on the first attempt so simply deleted it and started again. Then added some base notes towards the end.Still learning how to use it but these are a great tool for practising.

  • The RC 30 can be configured to operate the way you want it to, I have it set up to record after one tap on the pedal

  • if you have a mike plugged in as well, can you put an effect on just the mike, or do the effects go over everything?

  • @bemuzic To be honest Im not sure.I never use the effects. You would need another unlatched pedal to switch the effects on and off.

  • what would you recommend a boss rc-3 or rc-30

  • @bruncen I would recommend the RC-30 because it has a more user friendly interface and has more features.

  • That is great, I am getting one of these for Christmas from the wife, I can't wait having seen this video!! I will add some singing into the mix as well as my guitar playing is at the novice stage but improving all the time. (checkout my videos)

  • @Carphunter1970 Hi I checked out your videos, cool, Your not that much of a novice!

  • That's great! Can I ask you something? I just bought the RC-30 and I was wondering if I can record a chords backing track that is, say, 16 measures on Track 1 and then record a percussive backing track that is 1 or 2 measures long or in any case shorter in length compared to Track 1 and make so that it doesn't stop and continues to play in loop while the chords go by. I'm starting to think that the only way to do that is to have 2 loop-stations, but before that a little help would be great :)

  • I bought the RC-20XL and a week later this came out... I'm pissed.

  • The rc-30 may have more recording time and usb connectivity, have stereo, etc, but there a lot of cons aswell, like the useless range of effects that take up 1/4 of the pedal buttons. On top of that the rc-30 has been said to be more unnecessarily complicated and clunky when overdubbing and recording with your feet. The rc-20xl on the other hand is more practical and will get the job done easier, plus the rc-20xl is used by Battles and Radiohead so if they can make it sound good so can you!

  • @twilek123 ah ok thanks

  • @bemuzic got this pedal today and tried around a bit, with guitar and mic plugged in (mic through xlr - the effects seem to affect the whole output, not just one individual loop-track. you could run your mic through a couple of other effects before yanking it into the rc-30 though, to add guitar-independent voice-effects.

  • Step aside Jimi Hendrix! lol

  • @pauldec75 Or Rc-20, rc-20 is only a little bit more expensive than the rc-3 but has loads more features
