Thanks it's very clear. However I don't see this trinity of styles as sufficient to do justice to our brains & senses.Education is not invented to liberate us from dogma, but to make us economically suitable.Learning is so essential that models should fade away regularly.Neuropsychology is very interesting as is plasma ( 4th state of matter ), ectoplasm,bio-fotons, etc..Life is a marvel, but the system ( outdated thought patterns) wants us to be someone we aren't.Learn to feel intuition is ignored.
@StevenEvans1988 Most people are all three but are stronger in some and weaker in others. I, for example, am an auditory learner, but I also learn visually.
The reason "learning styles" such as the examples in this video (auditory, visual and kinesthenic) are not as useful in the classroom as we might hope is due to the fact that we as teachers do not test students on pictures, sounds or process. We mainly test on meaning.
I think learning styls exists but no one is spicifically tied to one group.
I am mostly tactile (the lighter side of kinesthetic) my self. However, I can learn by audio and visual but it takes me longer to get the point unless I have alot of interest. I find that my strongest learning method is by doing the task my self. Most things that I touch I will have almost a photographic memory of instantly. If I read something or listen to someone yammer on it will require several attempts to remember.
I'm trying to find which aspects of teaching/learning make a real difference to my students. I'm trying to learn what the best evidence says because I think students deserve it. It doesn't matter what I want to be valid, or what makes sense to me. All I care about is what is supported by science because it's the best way to learn about the world. Its not perfect, but there is nothing better. Think of the scientific advances in medicine, engineering, etc... Our students deserve the same.

I'm a mixed learner, it's very hard even to me which method is better for me. It depends from cases.
