A true story. We came home on Christmas Day one year to find an 18 wheeler with the words Giddy-Up-Go painted on the front bumper parked in front of our house. The driver was looking for the former resident, but my parents invited him in for coffee and during the conversation we asked about the name of his truck. He was the son and told the story of how Red Sovine heard the story and decided to write the song.
