@nght5tlkr I've gotten in trouble myself with making shuriken. My buddies and I made a lot,but only us were banned from making anymore because unfortunately for them, they couldn't throw them. A total of about 6 other kids were actually hurt and only 1 of my friends were suspended for a day. Memories...

@tianya1382 ok so i had a look around and I've heard it started in China then spread to japan. However it is more popular in japan and they're the main reason it's how it is today.Anyway it says Chinese paper folding is called Zhezhi (not origami) and 'Origami' is a Japenese word meaning 'folding' and 'paper'

Back in middle school, I used to make mine with perfect creases so that the tips were actually sharp. Needless to say, it didn't fare well with the principal and the origami stars were soon banned under the school's weapon policy =\
