@dapoetmaster It's amazing you don't hear too much praise for the soundtrack, even in the best review for this film, you usually see the usual 'and a great score from Morricone as usual', but I honestly think this is in his top 5 best.

The beginning reminds a lot the choirs on 2001 - A Space Odyssey.
Then the harmony becomes clear.
Greatly descriptive sense of 'haunting'
