not true...officers are NOT allowed to break traffic laws if there is no emergency!
THE LAW APPLIES TO EVERYONE!

It is simple, an emergency vehicle may be parked/stopped anywhere at anytime. I bet if you were held at gun point, you'd rather those officers be closer to their vehicles in order to respond, right?

That particular part of glendale has very limited street parking. Cops need to be near the vehicles when taking a break from patrolling. Even though they are on "break", they are not really off duty... and are still required to respond to any emergencies that may arise during that time.
An officer needing to jog 6 or 7 blocks back to his car just to respond to such situations... would be less than ideal, in my opinion lol.

so you are sayin that you would rather them park three blocks away to find a spot, then if they get an emergency cal have to run all the way back to their car to respond, no they need to be able to get back to their cars quickly to be able to resond at all times.
