well, it is true most Americans don't want reform a la a government option designed to squeeze out the private insurance industry. However, americans want other types of reform such as tort reform which would cut costs associated with frivolous lawsuits. Others want to cut back all the retarded regulations on the healthcare system that impede competition and raise prices. To my knowledge, there's no tort reform or deregulation in the house bill that was just passed. :-(

Yeah, it's pretty messed up. I believe HMO and private insurances were created by Nixon to make more money. Most Americans WANT to reform health care because most americans are either not getting covered, being dropped from health insurance because of any reason really, and a lof of people don't even have one. As for me, I'm not going to have insurance in a year...I have no idea how I'm going to live....

I'm from germany ... and I don't care too much about politics in general but I always see those shows like "scared" on MTV ^^
that's a show where stupid people hurt themself ...
well and it's always the same thing. someone get's hurt. no one calls an ambulance, because they can't afford the transportation costs and some of those poor kids can't even pay their medical threatment, wich they need so bad because their broken bones won't heal right ...

so the us may be the most powerful country measured by it's military appearance but they do not care about their people :-|

I don't think it's so much about not caring about the people because USA does a lot for many. It not only provides help and opportunities to everyone who comes into the US, but helps overseas. But I do agree on the fact that some things are not being taken care of at the moment, like the health of its citizens. Now, it's a broken system and hopefully it will be fixed under the Obama administration. I wouldn't trade my life in the US for anything though and I'm a first generation immigrant.

Obama wants to collapse the dollar, because everything he's doing will do that!!! He hates America and democracy. Just listen to the speeches he gives overseas. We must show our liberal friends the error in their thinking or we'll wake up one day in communist society with an incompetent dictator who doesn't give a crap about the American People.
