This is a very good overview of of the many ways a Mac user can benefit from a QNAP NAS. I use everything depicted except the iSCSI, and it all works well. I might try out iSCSI now!

qnap = quebec nap? I guess they are french canadian. no reason they can't have a guy with a french accent do this video.. I found his accent easily understandable

I can't believe QNAP is unable to afford a guy who speaks English with a proper accent. That French accent is really annoying.

are all qnap NAS this mac friendly? No info about iphoto libraries on Qnap site.. Am planing to buy a 419p II.

By default, the iPhoto library cannot set its Library (path) on external drive or network drive. Please use the following software to manage the photos.
1. iPhoto Library Manager (2.6MB),Shareware,USD19.95 for extra features.
2. iPhoto Library Selector (290KB),Free

Hi, i just bought the QNap412 and inserted 2x(2tb) + 2x (t1b), i'd like to configure it like this:
- 4tb on raid for time machine
- 1tb for work in progress
- 1tb for completed work
just like i used to have on my previous configuration on external hard drives.
Is this possible and how?
