i think you have a dead logic board very common in ibooks never seen it in a macbook its not your lcd its your video chip when the laptop is hot the solders on the video chip begin to melt causing a bad connection

NVIDIA publicly acknowledged a higher than normal failure rate for some of their graphics processors. If the NVIDIA graphics processor in your MacBook Pro has failed, or fails within three years of the original date of purchase, a repair will be done free of charge, even if your MacBook Pro is out of warranty. Actually as a tech, i would say it is most likely a faulty LCD screen, this part can be found for under $100 on ebay and be install fairly easily with some knowledge. to be sure connect a second display if there is good picture it is you LCD screen, if you get bad picture then it is your video card, which means new logic board.
